At Tapa Interiors, design is more than aesthetics—it’s storytelling. I founded this Mesa-based studio with one mission: to help people create homes that reflect who they are and what they value.
The name Tapa comes from a traditional Tongan art form where bark cloth is hand-crafted and painted with symbols that tell a family’s story. That philosophy guides everything we do—bringing meaningful, personal design into modern spaces.
With a background in commercial real estate design, a diploma from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and over seven years in the furniture industry specializing in visual merchandising, I’ve spent my career turning everyday spaces into something exceptional.

At Tapa Interiors, we believe great design isn’t just about how a space looks—it’s about how it feels, functions, and tells your story. Our step-by-step process is designed to keep things clear, collaborative, and deeply personal from start to finish.
➊ Discovery Call
Let’s connect.
We begin with a complimentary 15–30 minute phone call to get to know each other. We’ll talk through your design goals, timeline, and budget, and explore how we can support your vision. This is a chance for both of us to ask questions and make sure it’s a great fit.
➋ Design Consultation & Proposal
Defining the scope.
Next, we schedule an in-home or virtual consultation to walk through your space, gather inspiration, and identify your needs in detail. Following the consultation, you’ll receive a custom design proposal outlining your project scope, estimated investment, and next steps.
➌ Concept Development
Where the vision comes to life.
Once the proposal is approved, we begin designing your space. This phase includes curated mood boards, layout plans, material suggestions, and initial color palettes—all tailored to your aesthetic and lifestyle. We collaborate closely with you to refine the direction and ensure it feels just right.
➍ Sourcing & Planning
Behind the scenes, fully managed.
With a clear vision in place, we take care of the details—sourcing furnishings, fixtures, finishes, and decor from trusted vendors. We manage procurement, timelines, and ordering, so you can relax while we bring the pieces together. For larger projects, this phase may include coordinating with contractors or trade professionals.
➎ Installation & Styling
The final layer.
This is where the magic happens. Once everything is ready, we install and style the space—placing furniture, hanging art, layering in textures, and adding finishing touches that make the space feel cohesive, complete, and unmistakably yours.
